The charities, clothing closets and furniture banks may have additional items, such as small household appliances, free furniture, personal hygiene products, Chromebooks for students, household goods, computers and maybe even free vouchers. Many children, struggling residents in the Forth Worth region and family’s with an unemployed member benefit from these resources. The organizations not only can provide material assistance, such as clothing, but also offer referrals, including to places for free couches, fridges or mattresses in Tarrant County. This includes services such as information on job programs, free work attire, laptops for a job and other stuff. Referrals are generally readily available to other local resources, including to the Salvation Army free car program.

There are also workshops on how families can save money and budget for their shopping, whether for food, school stuff, household supplies or anything else.
