Food pantries in Sumner County.

There are several food pantries dedicated to assisting the low income in Sumner County, however some of them are located across the county lines. What is offered by each center will vary widely and some only focus on senior citizens or children. More information on the main food banks in the community is below.

Each of the charities and churches that run these pantries would like to help everyone. However this is not possible due to demand and lack of resources. So while a free box of food may be passed out in a crisis, some people will need to be turned away. Any assistance is available on a case-by-case basis after a review of the application takes place.

Sumner County meal sites and food pantries may also provide Thanksgiving or Christmas meals or gifts during the fall and winter. Another priority is also on feeding the thousands of children that face hunger each day, and they too can get a meal during summer or even clothing for the school year.
