Summit County clothing closets.

There are dozens of non-profit run free clothing closets to turn to in Summit County for assistance. The availability of what is passed out will depend on donations. When possible, income qualified low income families can receive everything from shoes to free school supplies, professional work attire, and other support.

Generally, very low income families can receive free items or maybe a voucher to shop with. Other residents of Summit County with a more moderate income can try a thrift store. Between these two options people can get kitchenware, donated gently used and new clothing, household goods including  linens, beds, or small appliances, as well as personal/grooming items for individuals and families in need.

Almost all of the distribution centers are open limited hours. It is always recommended to either call in advance, or be prepared for a clothing center to not be open if someone just drops in at one. While the staff do try to keep them open as  many hours as possible, this is not always possible due to limited resources.
