St. Louis Missouri Fannie Mae Mortgage Help Center.

Homeowners in Saint Louis Missouri can receive mortgage assistance from Fannie Mae. The mortgage servicer/lender has opened a Mortgage Help Center in St. Louis, which will provide free foreclosure counseling, education, and a variety of other assistance to struggling homeowners and people who are either currently behind, or close to falling behind, on their home loan payments.

Fannie Mae has opened several of these locations across the nation, and they are strongly committed to helping homeowners in any way possible. The location was opened in partnership with the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, local banks such as Bank of America, community and elected government officials, and mortgage servicers in St. Louis.

Services offered by St. Louis mortgage center

Borrowers will be provided various resources and free programs. They will be presented with options, have access to mortgage assistance, being able to meet with counselors, and receive timely resolutions to any housing problems they may e faced with. Some of the programs specific to this Fannie Mae Mortgage Help Center include.

 

 

 

  • Free one-on-one consultations are made available to homeowners. They can occur either in person or over the phone, and all sessions are confidential.
  • Borrowers will be able to seek with experienced housing counselors to review the terms of their mortgage loans and understand various financing or loan modification options.
  • The mortgage counselors will be able to explain the range of options available to the homeowners in the greater St. Louis region, and help borrowers apply for modifications, loan workouts and review other alternatives to foreclosure.

The number and amount of resources offered is extensive. In addition to providing free foreclosure counseling and prevention services to area homeowners, as well as access to mortgage education, staff from the Mortgage Help Center will assist homeowners by coordinating with their bank or mortgage servicers and also ensure an efficient response time.

One of the big challenges facing homeowners is mortgage fraud, and the Fannie Mae Center will also help to combat both mortgage abuse and fraud in the St. Louis area. The free services and programs that are offered by the Fannie Mae Mortgage Help Center are available to a majority of families and individuals, as most people have a mortgage or home loan that is owned by Fannie Mae.

St. Louis has been hit hard by the housing crisis. It is highly recommended that any homeowner with a Fannie Mae mortgage (which is the majority of home loans) who is having difficulty paying their mortgage should ask for free help.
