Homeowners in Saint Louis Missouri can receive mortgage assistance from Fannie Mae. The mortgage servicer/lender has opened a Mortgage Help Center in St. Louis, which will provide free foreclosure counseling, education, and a variety of other assistance to struggling homeowners and people who are either currently behind, or close to falling behind, on their home loan payments.

The mortgage counselors will be able to explain the range of options available to the homeowners in the greater St. Louis region, and help borrowers apply for modifications, loan workouts and review other alternatives to foreclosure.

In addition to providing free foreclosure counseling and prevention services to area homeowners, as well as access to mortgage education, staff from the Mortgage Help Center will assist homeowners by coordinating with their bank or mortgage servicers and also ensure an efficient response time.
