Around 40 clinics throughout the state provide health and medical care to patients throughout the state. Some of the community clinics are free, and some may have a nominal fee involved that can be partly based on the patients income. Either way patients can receive extensive assistance for their medical bills. All of the centers are non-profits, and provide high quality care.
The community clinics in South Carolina mostly employ volunteer doctors, nurses, dentists, and other medical professionals. The exact type and number of services will vary based upon the site, but in general they will provide a range of health, medical, medications, dental, pharmacy products, and some may even offer behavioral health services. Both low income and people with low or limited insurance can stop by the centers.
