Rent help in San Mateo County.

Core Service Centers provide rent and housing assistance assistance to San Mateo residents who are low income, unemployed, elderly, or families with children. While anyone can apply for rent help, those particular groups on most likely to receive help.

However, the centers are not the only options for San Mateo County residents. There are a number of non-profits, charities, and government agencies that also administer low income housing and rent assistance programs. San Mateo Individual Core Service Centers

The San Mateo Core Service Centers is a local partnership of seven non-profit agencies that provide low to moderate income residents with information on rent programs and referral to resources, emergency financial assistance, case management and other housing services. While people do need to apply for help and services provided are often on a case-by-case basis to qualified individuals, typical critical needs provided include free food, rent and housing assistance, shelter referrals, security deposits, clothing, transportation, utility assistance, landlord/tenant information, eviction prevention and referral, mediation assistance, and counseling and advocacy.

Human Investment Project (HIP Housing)
