They are a non-profit organizations that provides information on available assistance programs, and may be able to provide short term assistance to those who need help. Polk County Tenant-Based Rental Assistance Program - This resource provides rental assistance and housing aid to very low-income families for a twelve-month period of time, with case management services, counseling, and more also part of the package. (503) 623-8429
ARCHES Transitional Housing Program – This is a service that provides rental assistance, housing placement assistance, case management, and counseling, and more to families and individuals who are currently homeless in Dallas and Polk County Oregon. Last, but not least, for housing aid is the so called Housing Stabilization Program. This option provides both financial assistance and case management to those families at risk of becoming homeless and currently homeless families. The community action agency runs the Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). Clients can access weatherization services including weather-stripping of doors and windows, wall and ceiling insulation, floor, duct insulation and sealing, water heater insulation, caulking, and other conservation measures.

Saint Vincent De Paul - This charity and its partner churches provide services to Polk County, Dallas, and residents of the entire Mid-Willamette Valley. Various emergency assistance programs are offered, including food, meals, and possible financial help for bills or rent. Polk Community Free Clinic At Trinity Lutheran Church – The low income and uninsured may receive basic care. The church has an Acute Care Clinic offering acute and chronic care for illness. A chiropractic clinic as well as a free dental care clinic that provides cleanings and extractions are at the center. Health Community Clinic is located at 180 Atwater Street N, Monmouth, Oregon 97361, phone (503) 606-3288. The primary care clinic is currently taking new patients, but patients must go through an intake appointment to set up an appointment with a doctor. Please be advised that the time to get medical care may be several weeks due to demand and the application process.
This local branch, which is part of the overall Oregon umbrella, provides families, low-income seniors, the working poor, families with children and individuals with Emergency Aid and information on local government programs, charities and services. The main resource available in Mid-Willamette Valley as well as Polk County Oregon is known as Family Services. Limited amounts of cash can pay energy bills, rent, or provide for prescriptions, among other needs. Case management services are available as well, including information on employment services.
