Northwest Missouri Volunteer Attorney Project is a group of attorneys that provide free legal advice, including for housing matters. Call (816) 364-2325. Attorney will work with tenants (and landlords) to coordinate alternatives to evictions or protect tenant rights.
Platte County shelters and transitional housing
Each of these organizations provide lodging for the homeless. There is housing for adults, children, veterans, and other homeless individuals. Once stabilized, referrals are given to deposit as well as first months rent and other assistance.
