A number of charities, churches and non-profits provide new or gently used items to seniors and low income families. Clients can get free furniture, school supplies, appliances, fridges or couches or medical equipment. Among other things they can help children and teenagers get school uniforms, work clothing for people starting a new job or going on an interview. The centers do what they can to help the less fortunate.

Several programs operate in Palm Beach County that either pay for (from vouchers) or distribute for free new or secondhand clothing, including thrift stores. Low income families, children, and others who may be struggling are the key beneficiaries. Often included in their services are clothing exchange programs, free birthday toys or school supplies or backpacks and more.

Mostly focuses on women. This is the local branch of the national non-profit. The center provides lower income clients with interview appropriate clothing, dresses and suits. Items are offered to people for an interview or in order to work at a new job. Also is a great place to learn about career counseling and employment clinics in the region.

West Palm Beach Salvation Army Corps
A leading charity in the region with both free clothes for the low-income and vouchers for the low-income or homeless. Provides free year round assistance (clothing and gifts), case management, and emergency financial assistance. Any resources are offered based on need. Can also offer school supplies, and will sell items (furniture, beds, etc.) from a thrift store or clothing closet.
