Low income housing and homeless shelters in Orange County California.

Families in Orange County California that are facing eviction or who are homeless can turn to short term, low income housing units. Several organizations, churches, and charities operate centers (transitional housing, apartments, homeless shelters, etc.) across southern California. Each site is focused on helping the less fortunate and residents who qualify.

The locations focus on meeting the needs of as many people as possible. Some of the shelters and transitional housing units focus on women or children. Shelters are open for the recently evicted and homeless Other sites may help veterans that live in the Orange County region.

Client's who stay at these centers will also be able to enroll into other case management and self-sufficiency type programs. For example, individuals will be able to work with a social worker to find more stable, long term, and affordable homes or apartments to live in. Other services that are typically offered include employment assistance, financial literacy, and more. The transitional housing is meant to be short term, so the goal is to have people stay there and get out as soon as possible.
