Okaloosa and Walton County rent assistance.

Funds for paying rent can be provided by several non-profits in the Okaloosa as well as Walton County area. Any financial aid will be combined with other support services. Families that are facing eviction may be able to receive everything from landlord and tenant mediation services to referrals to government grant programs for back rent and more.

Assistance will be limited, and targeted to those families that have some form of income so that they can sustain the future rent payments on their own. Also, many of the agencies are located in Okaloosa County, but they also offer support to nearby regions as well. In some cases, there may be additional resources offered when a family needs to move into a new home, and this is when money may be issued for a security deposit or a portion of first months rent expense.

The primary churches, charities, and other organizations to contact are below. A waiting list may be in place, and any rent assistance is contingent on a self-sufficiency plan being put into place.
