Northeastern Michigan transitional housing programs.
Most of the transitional housing programs that operate in the region of northeastern Michigan may not be as convenient to residents. Qualified families and homeless may need to travel to a site or call them for referrals. Most of the sites are in the Grand Rapids area. However the main non-profits and organization to contact are below.
The counties supported include Alpena, Alcona, Arenac, Bay, Clare, Crawford, Gratiot, Gladwin, Huron, Isabella, Midland, Montmorency, Otsego, Oscoda, Presque Isle, Roscommon, Saginaw and Tuscola Michigan. Not only will qualified clients and homeless families be provided a room or apartment to stay, but other case management and social services are offered too. This ranges from food, meals, to free job search assistance and placement. All of this is done in an effort to help the individual gain self-sufficiency and stability.
With the weak economy, too many residents are facing eviction and homelessness. These non-profit agencies and the services they offer can be very effective at providing the jobless and others that are struggling with time. This allows people to get back on their feet and the time to find safe and affordable housing in northeastern Michigan.
