There are free Christmas toys, gifts, and presents for a child to put under the tree as well as free turkey dinners during Thanksgiving. Other forms of holiday support in the community (including at Thanksgiving) range from meals to Toys for Tots or holiday food boxes.

The application period will start in the fall. An entire household can get food or a meal. Programs also help senior citizens, the homebound, and lonely. However when it comes to say free Christmas gifts, this form of support is only for children under a certain age, which will typically be 14.
