McHenry County food pantries.

Residents of McHenry County Illinois that need help obtaining food can turn to a pantry. Several non-profits and charity organizations, as well as churches, provide the needy with free food, groceries, meals, and other support. Hundreds of local families use the centers each month and can receive short term support when they are faced with a crisis.

Each food bank in the county has different hours and conditions that need to be met by applicants. Due to resource limitations, some of the McHenry Illinois pantries will also limit how much or how often an individual can access the pantry. However the organizations will do their best to never turn anyone away.

Stop by a center for items such as emergency food boxes, canned goods, Christmas or Thanksgiving meals and more. Or a social worker or volunteer may have suggestions and applications for public aid such as SNAP food stamps.
