The main resources offered by Catholic Charities include emergency financial assistance, immigration services, and referrals. They also offer ESL classes, low-cost legal aid to women facing DV and immigrants as well as other support, including free food. Hardships funds to help pay bills from Catholic Charities

Emergency financial assistance can be directly provided, or social workers from Catholic Charities can provide referrals. The non-profit agency offers qualified low income and working poor individuals emergency assistance and resources that can be used to pay for a number of needs and bills.

Help can be provided up through submission of the forms and applications to the Citizenship and Immigration Service. Some additional services provided include travel documents, citizenship, adjustment of status, green card renewals, family-based petitions, and the completion of immigrant and non-immigrant visas.

Migration and Refugee Services are offered too. Catholic Charities is committed to carrying out the commitment of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops to advocate and serve on behalf of refugees, forced migrants, asylees, and immigrants. They support newcomers to the country and the state of Illinois. Special assistance and focus is given to the most vulnerable among these populations. For example, care and attention is even higher for victims of human trafficking, minors unaccompanied by parents or adult guardians. The Bilingual Outreach Program as well as Catholic Charity ESL is another resource. It provides social services and information to Spanish-speaking people in the community.
