Klamath County assistance programs.

Many agencies have partnered together to help the less fortunate in the community. They offer low income and others help paying bills, rent, counseling, and other assistance.

Klamath Food Bank

This facility works with the United Way, local food banks and pantries, and other organizations, and it provides food, groceries, and other household items to almost 40 non-profit agencies in Klamath County Oregon. The food banks is involved in feeding seniors, children, the mentally and physically disabled in the community, and even the terminally ill. The Klamath Food Bank eases the cost and expenses associated with running feeding programs that foster good health for all. Salvation Army of Klamath Falls

This non-profit charity organization, which is a branch of the largest in the world, provides a wide variety of emergency services to those in need of help. The church based group may have free food, clothing, heating, gas and utility bill assistance, rent help and transportation. They also provide a great deal of information on both federal and Oregon government assistance programs. Phone (541) 882-5280.

Senior citizen assistance programs

Call Senior Citizen's Council at (541) 883-7171. They offer seniors and the elderly access to transportation, hot meals, free food, home delivered meals, information on grant programs, and various social activities for seniors, mostly on low, fixed incomes. Learn more on senior centers.

Get information on debt and foreclosure programs

Both debt and housing counselors from the Klamath Falls branch of Consumer Credit Counseling provides free foreclosure and debt reduction counseling and support services to families and individuals with financial budgeting and payment plans. Shelter, employment assistance and meals

Klamath Falls Gospel Mission - The local church/Gospel Mission provides emergency shelter and programs for homeless men, and a emergency shelter for families and individuals who were evicted or lost their home. In addition the Mission also provides job training skills, meals, free food and clothing. The free hot meals are served to anyone in the Klamath County region that is facing hunger.
