Health centers and community clinics in Iowa can provide all individuals with access to medical and/or dental care. All state residents, regardless of their income, whether they have health insurance or not, race, or religion can get help from a clinic.
While in general community clinics do focus on the low income, in actuality they serve anyone and will not turn people away. Some people may have to pay a small portion of the bill, and the exact amount is based on a sliding fee scale.
All Iowa clinics are non-profit, and offer numerous services, including check ups, prescriptions, oftentimes access to dental care, and other forms of aid.
