Save on prescription drugs
County officials are providing residents with new prescription medicine cards that can save residents over 20 percent on the purchase of most medications. The card is free for residents, and there is so cost to acquire the card, and no premiums to pay.
The National Association of Counties recently issued these new cards for the prescription discount program for Guadalupe County residents.
The assistance program, which Caremark and NACo make available in hundreds of counties across the state of Texas, is already used by a few hundred county residents, but many more people should sign up as it is free card that automatically saves more than 20 percent on most drugs.
The cards are primarily used to help those people who do not have health insurance or who are underinsured from their current insurance plans.
