Over one million people in Virginia lack health insurance and many of them turn to free community clinics in the state. The Virginia Association of Free Clinics is a non-profit organization that coordinates free medical, dental and health care among the low income throughout the state, as well as people who have no or limited health insurance. They can also help with prescription drugs and medications.
The community clinics in Virginia provide high quality, free or low cost health, medical, prescriptions and even dental care for little cost, or even free, to low-income and/or uninsured patients across Virginia. Many hospitals, doctors, nurses, pharmaceutical companies and organizations contribute to these clinics to ensure the medical and dental services are offered at the lowest cost, and highest quality.
