Columbus and Franklin County free Christmas and holiday programs.

The focus of the Christmas programs in Franklin County is to provide free toys or gifts to children. Another goal is to provide some form of holiday meal to the entire family, including at Thanksgiving or Christmas. Senior citizens in Columbus Ohio are also key participants in these programs.

Restrictions have been put into place by the non-profits that run this services. There is usually an early application period for an Adopt a Family program, and the charities will also require proof of income and residency. The amount of Christmas gifts is also limited. In general, when qualified, there may only be a small toy or so given out or maybe a piece of clothing. This will really depend on the donations received.
