Free food pantries and groceries in Salt Lake City.

There are a number of free food banks, pantries, soup kitchens, and other charity organizations that assist struggling families in Salt Lake City and the county. The centers that may be near you provide the low income, senior citizens, disabled, and others facing a hardship with free groceries, food, personal toiletries and other forms of non-financial assistance.

Some of the free, emergency food pantries in Salt Lake County near you may be able to refer people to places to turn to for help with bills or getting government aid as well, such as SNAP food stamps or Meals on Wheels. Not only can the Salt Lake pantries provide groceries, food boxes, and perishable items, many also can offer items such as clothing, shelter, hot meals, and personal hygiene items. They also often provide Christmas as well as Thanksgiving meals to families living in poverty or feed children during the summer or weekend. Those items may be in more limited supply though.

Each of the centers is committed to helping the disadvantaged in the community get the support they need.
