Flagler County community action agency grant money

Grants, job programs and support is from the Northeast Florida Community Action Agency. The organization is a member of the national community action agency group. Using federal and non-profit funding, there is free grant money, grants, employment resources and other aid to families who are struggling. A wide variety of assistance is offered by the group.

  • Hardship grants are offered. This will be for emergency expenses, such as a car repair to get to work. Or get help with a homeless shelter for women facing DV, grants to recover from a natural disaster and other critical funds. The money will help residents get through a short term, one-time crisis. The staff also help clients get a grant as a stopgap until long-term assistance is arranged for the person.
     
  • The primary goal is to help those in need and to provide short term financial help and more with a goal of helping people become self sufficient. The Northeast Florida Community Action Agency is a place that individuals and families are turning to for assistance when they need short term help or guidance.

The qualification guidelines will vary by program and by each local county and municipality. Rent, electric, and utility bill assistance is available to residents no more than twice annually under each category. Or look here to find financial assistance.

Housing, utility, food, and other financial assistance in Palm Coast area

Flagler County Human Services Division is the regions government funded agency. The organization may have very amount of limited assistance for the poor, unemployed, and disabled from Access Florida or other benefits. Social Service Council of the Jewish Federation – Free food, meals on wheels for seniors citizens and information financial assistance, and more may be provided, regardless of someone’s religion. Some money (at most $150) can be used to pay utilities. If you have an eviction notice, apply for rent help.

  • An emergency food bank if maintained by the non-profit. They also offer Kosher meals, Ensure for seniors and baby formula for single mothers with newborns. St. Vincent de Paul Society – Partnership of local churches for Flagler County. Food, utility and cooling bill help is offered. HUM - Halifax Urban Ministries supports the working poor, low income, and unemployed. Programs include free groceries or meals from Feed-a-Family, bus passes and also shelter for the homeless. They also help single parents. There is very limited grants to be used for rent or energy bill assistance. Central Church of Christ Benevolence Ministry is a Member of Second Harvest Food Bank Network. They distribute food, meals, eggs, diary, and groceries. Low income transitional housing and homeless shelters - Residents faced with eviction, or that may be homeless, can benefit from these programs. Lutheran Services - Flagler County and families in northern and eastern Florida can call upon this non-profit. Assistance programs include help for seniors and immigrants. C.A.R.E. or St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Outreach. Address is 4600 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast, FL 32164. Provides limited amounts of financial assistance and grants. Money can be used for utility bills, rent, and mortgage to prevent homelessness. Read more on Florida mortgage help.

  • Food is also offered too by CARE. Both regular meals, and well as special programs around Thanksgiving and Christmas. Home visits for families to determine other possible needs can launched from this center. Call 386-597-3359

Flagler County Catholic Charities - Services are provided for this county and surrounding areas. Case managers can review assistance programs that are available for paying rent or utilities. Free food, including holidays meals, may be distributed. People on the verge of homelessness, or who need place to live, are also supported. Flagler County Salvation Army has a couple centers in the region. Case managers can provide guidance, support, and a listening ear as well as immediate financial assistance for bills, including rent or light. Receive help in applying for state of Florida, federal government, or direct financial aid from the Salvation Army.

  • Other social services services from the Salvation Army in the Palm Coast region include free clothing, transitional housing, food pantry, or motel vouchers. There may be limited emergency assistance for basic needs such as rent, utilities, or medications. They also help job seekers with free gas vouchers for an interview or first day of job.
