Food pantries in Erie County Ohio.

Whether it is a free box of food or other basic needs, the pantries and clothing closets across Erie County Ohio can often help. They focus on offering non-financial aid, but there may always also be referrals to other resources. This means that offering food or a hot meal will be priority, with a secondary focus on funds for bills or other critical needs.

The hours and application process at each center will vary. Many are only open a few times per month, so it is recommended to call a food bank before stopping by. The distribution centers, many of which are client choice, may have a wide range of items for distribution. Examples can be fruits, Ensure for senior citizens, baby formula for single moms, boxes of canned groceries, and more. Some of the Erie County sites even have a soup kitchen on site.

Of secondary importance will be other supplies. Examples of these can range from clothes for work or school to Christmas toys for children. But the pantries may be able to help with those needs too.
