People That Care of Wetumpka Alabama provides services to the low income in the community that include access to a free clothes closet, food pantry, prescription medicine, and limited financial assistance. There may be funds to help pay utilities, light or heating costs. If eligible for the support, the utility program pays the last $50.00 of a water, power, cooling, electric, or gas bill. Help is available to alleviate a crisis and to help an individuals deal with an emergency situation, not postpone one. Elmore County Food Pantry, phone number (334) 567-3232, is a pantry at 515 W Boundary St, Wetumpka, AL 36092 for single mothers, the homeless and low-income. The center provides one food box per household including with produce shelf stable groceries, baby formula and more.

First Baptist Church has a free food pantry and clothing closet. Elmore County families can dial 334-263-6369.
