The resources available from the Columbus Mississippi Salvation Army range from programs for youth to emergency financial aid for paying bills from social services. The other main resource is the low cost Family Store, which sells items at a reduced price to the greater Lowndes County community.
Some of the assistance programs are much more limited, and this is particularly true of the Social Services. As the amount of money available for helping with rent, electric bills, gasoline for work, etc. is limited. The support really depends on the money raised from the sale of goods at the Family Store.
