Free Christmas and holiday assistance Clark County and Las Vegas.

Across Clark County Nevada there are several churches and charities that provide Christmas assistance, including free food, presents for kids, free Christmas toys and meals. The agencies help children from low income and working poor families as well as single mom or dad run homes. Find where kids from low income households in the Las Vegas area will get free Christmas gifts, toys and presents below.

Learn how to apply to Toys for Tots, Angel Tree from the Salvation Army and (partners),or the Angel Tree program in Clark County NV. Or get free Christmas gifts or meals (including Thanksgiving turkeys) from other  charities. Another main focus is on supporting seniors and providing companionship to them during the Christmas season.

Volunteers will also visit the elderly in nursing homes, disabled people  or homebound. Some of what may be distributed for free at Thanksgiving or Christmas in Las Vegas includes free toys, gifts, clothing, games, Legos, dolls, gift certificates and of course a hot meal. Families facing  hardship, that have no job or money can also get free Xmas and holiday help.

While almost all of the programs rely on donations and the time of volunteers, they still do their best to provide some form of holiday joy to all qualified applicants, including immigrants and Spanish speakers in Clark County NV. They may also provide assistance during Thanksgiving and Easter.

Charities with free Christmas gift programs in Clark County

Salvation Army of Vegas and Clark County

They offer several holiday programs to the less fortunate, children, homebound and senior citizens. One of the main ones is the Christmas Angel Program. It generally helps children under the age of 14 and will provide them with free gifts, toys, dolls, matchbox or hot wheel cars, games, and other support. There are several other corp centers in the greater Clark County Nevada region as well as well as Adopt a Family in Las Vegas as well as free Thanksgiving turkey dinners.

Lutheran Social Services of Nevada (LSSN)

Many holiday resources are available, including free Easter Baskets, Christmas meal and gifts, and also  Thanksgiving Turkey & Trimmings. In addition, LSSN partners and works closely with other non-profits to provide programs such as Phone Home for the Holidays and more. You need to be an approved client of the center.   • Thanksgiving Assistance from LSSN is also offered. While locations vary, this generally runs out of a site at 73 Spectrum Road, Las Vegas, NV, 89101. This program will serve focus on this season. Free Thanksgiving Turkeys, Hams, pies, cranberry, and more is offered. The homebound may be able to receive home delivered meals. The phone number is also 702-639-1730.

Las Vegas Rescue Mission - Holiday Assistance Program

The homeless can receive a free, hot Christmas dinner and meal. Toys may also be passed out to children and seniors may receive items too. There are also holiday programs for gig workers, the underemployed, people battling addiction in Las Vegas and others. All aid is offered on a first come, first served basis to the low income.

  • Thanksgiving Assistance Program is also offered by the Rescue Mission at 480 W. Bonanza Road, Las Vegas, Nevada, 89106-3227. Main phone number is 702-382-1766. This non-profit may offer special holiday programs including Thanksgiving dinner or food boxes for the homeless population. The meals and support is served the day before Thanksgiving. If a resident does not qualify, they can get help from other charities. Locate other sources of free Thanksgiving turkeys and meals that focus on low income families.

 

 

 

 

HELP of Southern Nevada

The main program to apply, or donate to, is Holiday Adopt - A - Family (AAF). Individuals or businesses in Clark County that are expressing an interest in adopting a child or a family for the holidays will be given information about the family and what they need. This includes clothing sizes and a wish list. The contributor will then need to buy those items for the family and they will be presented them as Christmas gifts.

  • A number of requirements are needed in order to apply for help, including income tax return for previous year, birth certificates, proof of income and more. HELP provides year round support, including financial help to the low-income and others, as well as seasonal assistance, including during the holidays. Continue with HELP programs in Las Vegas.

Jewish Family Service Agency

The center has an Adopt a Family program. Games, dolls, books, clothes, electronics, shoes, bikes, and other Christmas presents may be given to kids, infants, or teenagers. All free Christmas food or gifts depend on donations from the Clark County community.

Catholic Charities

Several social services, referrals, and other support is offered. This can include holiday meals, free toys, clothing, and gifts for children at Christmas. The Clark County NV Catholic Charities works with churches to help provide free holiday food boxes at Christmas or Thanksgiving, assist single mothers or immigrants, give out free Christmas decorations or stocking stuffers and more.

Community Services of Nevada

Free Christmas toys and holiday gifts are provided to income qualified Clark County families. There may be games, shoes, clothing, and more available as the result of donations from volunteers. Assembles and coordinates volunteers that can help the less fortunate and low income during the holidays. A focus is always on children and others that are less fortunate. Help is needed to wrap presents, serve meals, and more.

Assistance is also for immigrants and Spanish speaking residents. Holiday programs for low income families that qualify include free food boxes, referrals, and more. Free Toys for Tots in Clark County
There are dozens of non-profits, churches, and charities in Las Vegas and the county that participate. The focus on providing free gifts, games, stocking stuffers, Legos, books, tablets, and other items to young children in Clark County. When applying, proof of residency and income is required, along with other documentation. The free Toys for Tots are gender specific and based on age.

Both of these focus on Mexicans, Hispanics, the working poor, single moms and Spanish speakers in Clark County. Free Easter, Thanksgiving, or Christmas meals focus on ethnic tastes. They are also free Toys for Tots applications, clothes, educational support, and other assistance.

They offer a number of social services, thrift stores and assistance programs in Clark County. Free groceries stamps (which can help pay for holiday food), Christmas toy programs, free school supplies, gift cards for low income or single moms which can pay presents, and Meals on Wheels too.

Families for Effective Autism Treatment of Southern Nevada

The non-profit only helps children with autism. They have free Christmas toys for tots, food baskets, social services and more for kids with autism.

Single Mother's Of Culture of LV
