Bucks County food banks and pantries.

Free food or low cost groceries, meals, and other forms of assistance is available to Bucks County Pennsylvania residents. Several food banks and pantries can assist families, children, individuals, and senior citizens in the region. While aid is focused on people who are faced with an emergency, resources may be provided to individuals of all backgrounds.

Many of the food pantries acquire products through donations, food canned drives held by non-profits, and partnerships with churches, charities and local food banks. The pantries then distribute the products to people who are in a crisis or emergency situation. Some locations can also provide items such as clothing, baby formula and diapers to qualified individuals.

The Bucks County pantries are effective at helping those who need immediate access to food. Many of the programs were developed to serve as an immediate measure to hold a family or individual over until extended services are secured, such as enrollment into government aid including food stamps.

The Bucks County Hunger Coalition can be contacted too. Volunteers help residents facing poverty or the under and unemployed apply for programs such as food stamps or Women, Infant and children (WIC) in order to get free formula and groceries. The coalition also works to end hunger, and they have databases of free food pantries and meal sites for people of all incomes. More information.
