The agencies offer the less fortunate gifts and food. There are holiday as well as Christmas assistance programs such as Toys for Tots, Angel Tree, Adopt a Family and even free dinners (including at Thanksgiving) in Broward County. Kids and seniors will all get help during the holidays.

The application period usually starts up in October and may run as late as December, however the agencies usually operate on a first come and served basis. The toys, gifts, Legos, video games, books, clothes and food items are very limited and rely heavily on donations.
