Blount County Tennessee free food pantries.

The food pantries in Blount County provide assistance to struggling residents that live in a defined area. The centers are very local in nature, in that free groceries or hot meals are only served to income qualified families with proof of residency in the local town served. The resources available from a pantry range from diapers to free meals, boxes of food, holiday assistance, and even clothes.

While all of the items are given for free to the most deserving, they do depend on donations. The staff from the pantries both hold food drives and sort what people from the community bring to them. So what may be available in Blount County includes Thanksgiving or Christmas food baskets, non-perishable goods such as soup, and even free fruits or vegetables. Some personal hygiene and toiletries may also be available.
