Find charities and churches that give free holiday help to low income families that live in the Harrison, Stone, Biloxi, Gulfport, or Hancock County area of Mississippi. Get free Christmas toys for kids as well as meals or food baskets, including at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Most of the assistance is provided from the Toys for Tots or Angel Tree programs, but there are also other places to turn for help. Find help at Christmas in Biloxi, Gulfport and all counties.
Struggling families, single moms, the elderly and disabled can get everything from free toys or gift cards for children to holiday meal baskets. There may be Legos, video games, Barbie dolls, clothes and more. Churches may also serve meals, or have small stocking stuffer items for kids as well.
Note any food distribution centers will mostly serve free holiday meals or pass out groceries, but that may be for Thanksgiving or Christmas. But other charities, including the Salvation Army in both Gulfport as well as Biloxi, have other assistance including Toys for Tots and Adopt a Family. This is only for struggling families in Hancock County. The organization is part of Toys for Tots program, which may have new or gently used Christmas presents.
The Salvation Army Mississippi Gulf Coast holiday program
All of Harrison and Hancock County MS is supported. The Christian church has free toys, games, gifts, and other items for kids. The main program is Angel Tree, which collects gifts from the public. There may be dolls for girls, toy trucks for boys, and other items. Free Thanksgiving and Xmas meals are served as well.

Catholic Charities of Southern Mississippi and Gulf Coast
The faith based charity has many resources. Free food (including at the holidays) as well as a thrift store with bargains. Some families may get free Xmas decorations or stocking stuffers or clothes. Free Toys for Tots program
Kids and infants from age 0 to 14 can get free Christmas gifts. All items are based on donations. There may be matchbox cars, dolls, clothes, Legos, video or educational games, and more. Children from low-income, working poor, or unemployed households can register.
