Rental assistance in Berrien County.

When threatened with an eviction, tenants can turn to Berrien County rental assistance programs. There is financial aid available to help low income families stay in their current home or apartment. Not only may funds help pay rent in an emergency, but the agencies also arrange transitional housing as well as access to homeless shelters in the Saint Joseph Michigan community. Or find agencies that help pay security deposits or that give free motel vouchers in Berrien County.

Homelessness can often be caused by many issues. It may be a legal dispute or even unpaid utility bills. This is why the non-profits or Health and Human Services not only assist with rent, but they may also provide grants for energy bills or deposits to help the individual move. There are also section 8 HUD vouchers (inclouding emergency housing) for very-low income families. Or if the issue is a dispute related, then free legal aid can often help the Berrien County resident.
