Free clothing closets, school supplies, and furniture in Augusta-Richmond region.

Families have a number of places to turn to for free clothes, household supplies, back to school items and supplies, furniture as well as other stuff in the Richmond County Georgia region. There are also free items in nearby towns and cities. Free clothing closets as well as furniture banks operate in the counties of Burke, Warren, Columbia, Emanuel, Wilkes, Glascock, Jefferson, Jenkins, Lincoln, McDuffie, Richmond, and Taliaferro. Low income families may receive free clothes, back to school supplies, furniture, appliances and related items while other more moderate income can shop at a thrift store.

The items available at these non-profit centers and churches are wide ranging. Receive free work clothing, baby supplies, household goods and more. There may also be free furniture such as beds, computers, mattresses, kitchen items, and living room sets. Seasonal type items may be distributed too when possible. This can include free Christmas assistance as well as items during the school year, such as backpacks and uniforms for students and teenagers. They can also offer referrals to other emergency and financial assistance programs in the region too. Notebooks, belts, free coats, and other school supply items may ge given to children too.

They have a free furniture bank and other programs. Based on donations, qualified low-income families, single mothers, the elderly and others can get help. Programs are available for low income and poor persons of McDuffie and Warren Counties. Short term and emergency aid is offered. Apply for general clothing provision for Fire Victims, diapers, food pantries, general clothing, furniture, and even personal Financial or Credit Counseling services.

Sells items, including work uniforms and clothes, to the general public. Vouchers may be provided to the lowest income Richmond County families. Much of the clothes and other free items are for the homeless in the region.

This agency offers programs providing Christmas assistance, clothing, food, and even free basic dental care to the community.

The lowest income and people faced with a crisis may apply for emergency assistance. There are also clothes and back to school supplies for students from K to 12. Get help including clothing, lodging, food, rent and utility bill assistance. There are also free counseling services, and referrals to other comprehensive crisis centers in counties such as Jefferson or Lincoln. Baby items, such as diapers and formula, may be distributed. There is also an annual back to school supply drive, in which students can be given pens, backpacks, shoes, and other supplies.
