Atlanta regional free clothing closets, school supplies, and furniture banks.

Charity agencies and churches provide free clothes or furniture in the Atlanta Georgia area. Find free household stuff or school supplies, beds, clothes for work, kitchen appliances and more  There is help from free clothing and furniture banks in Atlanta including the counties of Fulton, Cobb, DeKalb, Gwinnett and other. The support is focused on low-income persons, the elderly and seniors and it can help them become more self-sufficient as well as confident. The free clothes, furniture, laptops for online work or remote learning, back to school supplies for students, and work items lead to family stability.

The programs offered by each clothing clothing or furniture bank will vary, and depend heavily on donations from the community. Some of what is offered includes coats, shoes, book bags, uniforms and supplies for students. Certain clothing closets may also have items for infants or babies including formula, free diapers, and food. A special focus is on providing Christmas and holiday gifts and toys for children.

Locations are across De Kalb, Fulton County, and other regions in the greater Atlanta metropolitan area. Fee stuff is offered in multiple counties. Not only will they distribute or sell clothing or furniture such as beds, couches and more at a low cost to the needy, but many may provide vouchers for free items. Some centers also operate thrift stores for the general public. Or they offer furniture for free to low income families.

While not as common, some of the clothing closets can also help with other emergency needs, such as free gift cards for medical equipment. That type of help is very limited though and comes with restrictions.
