Re: Does anyone really know anyone?
While we know not standard topic on the forum, thoughts? As always we keep submitters info confidential, use pseudonyms, modify personal details, etc. for info sent to use on the forum. Part psychology and philosophical question. Even ask is it worth even trying to get to know anyone and really give a chance? Or possible to know any of thoughts going thru their head ? Or "fruitless"/impossible?

Re: Does anyone really know anyone?
Thanks for the few comments from the forum. While I wish it was different, I do not think possible as from what I read, what was was told and what I hear. Seems no one ever knows anyone. This is the case no matter how much you try to, think you do or want to...even on stuff like growing up, family, their college/school, life, thoughts, where they need to work, background, interests, how they feel about you or people, or anything.

Someone (My brother-in-law) indicated earlier today most people do not even know themselves, and then even after that need to throw in equation difference between knowing, feeling and trusting.

Re: Does anyone really know anyone?
A therapist commented, and I read more on it, that some people apparently have 3 lives and slightly smaller number of people have 4 lives...a public life, private life, or secret life, and the 4th can be fictitious/illusionary life that they portray. That is what is faced when trying to know anyone.
I wish that I could have known the truth on the real life when I tried, and I have learned that now stating truth be a good way to heal and restart.

I think people can handle/understand really anything/news/background/true story when trying to get to know someone. The only way is to try.

Pushing topic towards top of list again. How do you build trust when trying to get to know anyone, especially when have previously tried multiple times?

Re: Does anyone really know anyone?
A comment and counselors say to try to know anyone and to build trust, be consistent, do what say, share, honesty, and be open among other steps.

Re: Does anyone really know anyone?
We have posted some articles on the blog about this, but we wonder why people always put out images, try to be someone they aren't. That in itself makes it impossible to know anyone.
We did get a couple comments on blog about this, but we know some people use forum vs. blog so pointing out blog article(s).
