Bills for Medicare part A insurance

Hello
I had to call MetroWest medical center twice last year in April for a health emergency. I do not have insurance or Medicare Part B, just Part A. I am 74. I received a bill after a long time and asked for financial assistance. I filled in all the forms and provided documentation. I only have social security income, and rent my apartment.
They called me in August last year and said it was denied additional compensation from Part A. I said I was unable to pay the bill and they said they would "post it". I thought this meant they would absorb it. Yesterday I received a letter from a collection agency, a year later! I called them and they said they could not help me. I don't know what to do. I do not have any assets or anything of value.
Can you advise me or let me know someone who can. I live in Beaverton, Oregon.
Thank you.

Hi,
I am disabled with a $500.00 deductible on my Medicare Advantage Plan. Recently I saw a hand specialist in Raleigh, NC and needed braces on both hands. I now have a bill for $295.67 that I cannot pay in full. I am making payments out of my grocery money. Is there help for this deductible? And if so, where?

Well we are not sure if a program will help with that Medicare bill. But we have many programs listed. Maybe try one or two and see what you can find out. Here are the Medicare programs and information on our site. Also use a food pantry to supplement the now lack of grocery money that you have.
