I am a wife of an incarcerated veteran work, do not make enough to cover all my bills and food.
Currently living in someone garage apartment where I use the oven to keep warm. A college refrigerator not enough space for food, recently diagnosed with diabetes.
Last job refused to pay me my check. Can't find anyone to assist me.

You seem like a candidate for transitional housing or shelter in New Orleans. You can move there from the garage. They will help stabilize you, provide food, job advice, etc. Find them here, and read more.
