I heard their is low cost, high speed internet available for low income households. I have searched everywhere & can't find it. Comcast has $10 a month internet, but the household has to have a child on the free lunch program at school. I don't have kids, but am on disability, receive SSI & Medicaid. My zip code is 60452 (south of Chicago). Also I know the "free" services are not good & dial up is way too slow. Do you have any tips? Thanks.

Some companies do offer this, but it is are. Call your internet provider and ask. It is usually under $20 per month, and the speed will not be as fast as regular service, but it is still much quicker than dial up. So call around, or find more internet programs here. http://www.needhelppayingbills.com/html ... ccess.html
