90 day notice for section 8 housing

Post by Woo-Hoo »

I am a single mother with three daughters ages 14 years old, 7 years old, & 8 months old. I am a section 8 tenant. My current owner served me with a 90 notice to move in May 2017, telling me to move on or before July 31, 2017. Unfortunately, I don't have the money to move and I didn't receive my section 8 voucher from the Housing Authorities of the City of Los Angeles until June 30, 2015.
I have not had any luck with finding a new place. My owner still wants me to continue to pay her rent. If she wants me out how am I supposed to move to a new place? I am in desperate need for assistance!!! I don't want to be homeless sleeping in my car with my three children.

Peace and love to you, I am seeking assistance for my down deposit on my apartment that I was approved for today. I have part time job, attend school full-time and I am a full time mother of 1. I am currently on section 8 but I have to come up with $300 by Tuesday May 12, or if not I will get a 90 day notice So any assistance that I can get I would very grateful.

Talk to your PHA (public housing authority) about what section 8 can do for you. As there may be some way to help negotiate with the landlord, or maybe give a few dollars for the rent. Find options by state here. http://www.needhelppayingbills.com/html ... using.html
