Impoverished

Post by Betty »

I am 65 years of age, tried programs for older people. You have to be totally impoverished making only $12,000 to get help. I get more than that but it is not enough. Please help me with suggestions, and thank you.

I live in Magnolia Texas in Montgomery county and live in poverty. I have a job that I have been at for 6 years and 1 child attending his first year of college at Lonestar. I am single living paycheck to paycheck with no savings, making me Impoverished. Just last week my son's car broke down followed by my car 2 days later. I need help paying for repair on at least one of the cars so I don't lose my job or my son has to drop out of college. A job and counseling to stop being Impoverished would be great too.
Thank you

Sorry you live in poverty, but the job market is strong. We have many local resources you can try for help, both long term and emergency. Try our main county by county resources here for financial help near you.
