We are not sure about that one. We do know there are many national charity and not-profits that provide various forms of assistance for medical conditions, but not sure if transportation is covered or not. Find more information on financial help with medical bills and a listing of many of those non-profits. Also, ask the veteran organization too for referrals.

To whom it may concern,
I reside in Oakton, VA and am a veteran. I just started a new job in Dulles, VA... this new job is a great opportunity for me to make some good money. The only issue is the location of this job is not on a public transportation line. I would have to take the orange line from the Vienna Metro Station to East Falls Church and then transfer to the Silver line which would take me to Reston Wiehle Station. From there I would take a shuttle to Dulles airport and then walk 2.6 miles to my job. Total time round trip is 5.5 hours.
I'm seeking travel assistance for a month. If I had the money I would just take an Uber from Reston Wiehle Station... but I'm just getting started and my funds are limited. My new wage is $16.50 an hour, 40 hours a week plus over-time up to 30 hours a week. I can definitely save up enough within a months’ time to buy a used car but I just need assistance getting to work in the interim.
It's a very long tiresome walk and I would be too tired once I get there... I'm hoping your organization can somehow help me in my situation. If you have any programs that would help me get to work on a daily bases for 1 month I would truly be grateful.
Thank you for taking the time to read this email and I hope you can help me in my desperate time of need.
Best Regards,
Admin

There are some free bus passes, and you can find resources listing them here.

Also, since you are a veteran, maybe the VA office can assist you.
