In dire need of help with everything!

Post by Randy42166 »

I am currently in need of help with rent and gas/electric bills. I have contacted every available resource in my community and have not been able to get any help. It seems here they only help people who are elderly or have children, both of which I'm not or have. I am working at labor ready (when they have work) for 7.50/hr and still am unable to pay all my bills. I don't know who else to contact or what else to do. So far my landlord has been reasonable and has allowed me to make small payments when I have the money. All my money goes to gas trying to get a permanent job through Labor Ready. There isn't one in our city so I have to travel over 25 miles(one way) to get there. I also haven't been able to pay my car insurance and am supposed to turn in my plates to the dmv. They charge you fees for up to 90 days for not turning them in, after the 90 days they suspend your license. Please help I need my license to work!
Thank you, Randy

Unfortunately most resources do have limited funding, and they do focus and prioritize funds for families with kids and seniors as they are the most vulnerable. We need to know state in order to give you info on who else may have funds. In the meantime, use this link for a good summary of assistance programs, find your state midway done the page, and then review state programs. Also once you get to your state select your county/town.

Really explore the entire site. We have information on thousands of programs, and phone numbers for most. Find help with electric bills, credit counseling, rent assistance, free food, medical care, medications, and much more.

I live in Western New York. I've explored 211, social services, catholic ladies charity, salvation army and united way, all without any help.

I can't get payday loans because I don't have a bank account, so no help from a bank either.

To whom it may concern,
I am and have been a Wyndotte resident since June 2014.
The home we are renting was a dream come true for us all as a family and individuals. I have had some hardships for majority of my teenage-adult life and for the past 3 years I have done nothing but use my tools and critical thinking to keep afloat in the best, appropriate way anyone knows how.
So, we moved up here for work and the company gave me a raise. But they just laid my husband off 4 years off last week ending. My son is 22 years old and is in college. We have always told him that working is a NO in this house, to only focus o school. I, too, attend NAU my husband is looking for a new job.
SO this house did need some minor touch ups. But we didn't realize how much the landlord was trying to get out of doing things.
We have Air Conditioner units in our home, glued in the window. On June, it was not as cold as you would think however after our first initial run in with the landlord (ROACHES BIG TIME) we had decided as a team (US) to make it work. But it wasn't until the 3 day did I freeze my butt off and that was the day the gas and electric began in our name.
I use logical thinking and the heat blows harder if it feels a cold source, a blowing consistent force we have lived here for two months and never did we imagine that both our electric and gas would add up to 1200.00.
We cannot pay this, not even in a payment because we just don't have the money. I can run down all my financials with you, as well as my husbands and sons.
Can you help me??? please? I can pay you back if you can help me? Get back with me with any source that can help.

Please I need help with everything...It had to have 5 surgeries last year to fix a broken shoulder...after the 4th I found out my income was cut by $800 a month...since then it has been all downhill.
All my utilities will be turned off any day (minute). I have no food anymore, I can't afford my medications anymore. It feels like I'm drowning on dry land. I live in Maricopa Arizona, outside Phoenix. I'm on SSD at $1998 a month. My son's in Ohio paid my rent this month. I feel so disgusted with myself right now....can you help me with anything? Anything at all?
Thank you.

The Salvation Army in Phoenix often has various programs, and can help with many needs. While maybe not everything, they can be a resource for you. Also, since had 5 surgeries, did you apply for disability because you can't work? Maybe that can help you bring in some funds too.

To Whom It May Concern:
My daughter lives in Lincoln, Nebraska and works part-time and attends college full-time. She is now in dire need and has been struggling to pay her household expenses and just informed me last night that if her gas bill of $250 (it might be more I can't remember the exact amount) is not paid by next week her gas will be shut off. She is behind on EVERYTHING. Her rent, electric, gas, water, car note, internet - you name it she is behind on it and therefore the dire situation she faces. She only earns net about $400 every two weeks. I could help her with her car note for a while and got behind on mine trying to help her.
I just need to know where I can send her for help. No, she does not have any children and she is by herself-no family there, just on her own trying to graduate and make it. Please send me suggestions of places that would be able to help her with assistance for everything immediately! She was receiving SNAP benefits but her case closed because they go gross income and not net which at the time put her over the limit.
Thank you! A very concerned mother!
