Post by Rinaldi »

My daughter and I are currently homeless and need help with rent and deposit in Wichita Kansas. I’m on disability for numerous things, I don’t drive, and I'm at a loss. We were blessed by a man named Ron here at the Days inn in who has let us stay here for the weekend. I have to pay him however by Friday. I’m at such a great loss I have no family to turn too even and my daughters school is doing what they can even to help. Please even just prayers and words of advice would help me right now...Thank you kindly.

We can give you information on place to try for a security deposit in Kansas. There are numerous agencies to contact to apply at. They in general try to stop homelessness, so offering deposits and other support is part of that. The list of organizations is on the main site. http://www.needhelppayingbills.com/html ... e_and.html

Hello! I came across this website numerous of times. I'm sure you guys get multiple emails a day, and I just need help with my options for a security deposit
In August I just got my own apartment studio in Manhattan, Kansas at the time I was currently working two jobs McDonalds and Wendy's, both was full time jobs. I ended up quitting Wendy's due to being burned out and just the disrespect I got as a black female.
The whole reason of me getting two jobs was to get an apartment and a car before the winter time. In October I had a friend who was in need of a place to go due to her going through a divorce in addition of sharing my studio apartment with her , I also gave her 300 dollars for her travel money. With her being her I had major setbacks, I missed two months of rent (November and December ) due to missing days at work, and also just the hours I had was not summing up to rent which is only 520 I could've maintained it if I wasn't trying to be a good friend.
Also with that being said, I don't have my car either my main goal was to have it before February for my schooling which is in Hutchison. I don't need it for work or everyday things such as grocery shopping, paying bills, etc. It's just getting to class on Saturdays.
I was wondering if I could get help with either deposits or problems, or what are my resources? Just to cut the stress in halve. I also recently picked up another job at jimmy johns as well so I am trying I just need help.

Good morning. My name is Heather. My husband, Brian and I are currently homeless. We are in Reno County KS and need security deposit help. We sleep most nights in our vehicle. We both want to work and have interviews, however, it's hard to keep a job when you don't know where you are going to sleep or when you will get to shower again.
I also have medical issues. A mass in my stomach was found that takes up a good portion of my abdomen. Once again it's hard to make it to the specialist in newton when I can't shower and I've slept sitting up all n8ght in my car.
It's humiliating. We just need some help in getting a place to live so money for the rental deposit from some organization here in Kansas. Once we get into a place we will do what it takes to keep our home. We would be so grateful if you could point us in the direction of someone that can help us get into a home. Whoever could help us would not be wasting their time or their money on us. We would really be appreciate anything you can do. Thank you for your time. I look forward to hearing from you.

If you live in Manhattan Kansas, Riley County, there are some rental assistance programs there. Sadly discrimination still exists in this world and it probably always will, whether it is age, gender, ethnicity, religion, or something else. But we ramble. As far as your deposit and rent assistance programs in your area, look here for emergency rental assistance Riley County KS.
