Lowcountry Veterans Home is transitional housing for homeless veterans that are substance free. They help vets in Charleston County get a safe place to sleep, arrange for long term case management and also coordinate rehousing of veterans and their families, including from the SSVF program. Magnolia 61 Senior Apartments (Grand Oak) is an organization that runs low income/subsidized rental housing for families with children and people over 55. Bounce Back Incorporated transitional housing programs are offered. the faith based groups provides a number of social services, with free short term housing one of them. Ansonborough House is for seniors over 62 years old can access independent living. The non-profit gives priority to homeless or those living in unsafe or substandard housing. Housing Crisis Hotline, part of Neighbors Together, is for people in need of emergency shelter. An emergency number of (843) 737-8357 will help the homeless, seniors, or people in an unsafe living arrangement locate a free or income based transitional housing program or shelter to sleep in as long term help is arrangement.
